Audrey Wood
Russia Program Associate
Audrey Wood is a Russia Program Associate at Pacific
Environment. Having caught the travel bug early, Audrey has lived all
over the US, in Germany, and in Russia. Of all the places she has set
foot, none have managed to capture her heart quite like the dense
forests of Siberia and the US Pacific Northwest. Before joining
Pacific Environment, Audrey studied at Saint Petersburg State
University under the American Councils Russian Flagship Program. At
this time, she interned with the Saint Petersburg-based Center for
Non-Profit Organization Development and also worked part-time as a
freelance translator and English teacher. Audrey also spent a year
working as a translator/editor for the Language Link Translation Bureau
in Moscow. She received her B.A. in Political Science and a
Certificate in Russian and East European Studies from the University of
Pittsburgh. Audrey is fluent in Russian and has a good knowledge of
German, and makes a mean vegetarian lasagna. When not at work, she can
be found biking around San Francisco or perfecting her taekwondo
technique. Email Audrey: awood "at" pacificenvironment.org.
