The 21st Century Energy Greenprint for the East Bay
May 23rd, 2008Full Report Download

The East Bay has great potential to increase our energy efficiency, invest in our community, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and secure our energy future. The economic, environmental, and social risks of not doing so are formidable. The Local Clean Energy Alliance recognizes Community Choice Energy, energy efficiency programs, feed-in tariffs, Sustainable Energy Financing Districts, and communicy purchasing as leading policy initiatives to increase energy efficiency and local renewable energy in the East Bay. By pursuing these complementary policies in a coordinated manner, we can increase the resilience and long term viability of our region's electrical grid, create new green-collar job opportunities, and make bold strides in cutting global warming emissions.
The Greenprint is a publication of the Local Clean Energy Alliance, of which Pacific Environment is a member.
