Bobbie Jo Kelso
Bobbie Jo Kelso serves as Senior Director of Advancement, leading all aspects of fundraising and donor relations to help meet Pacific Environment’s mission and goals. Bobbie Jo brings nearly two decades of experience in inspiring action and raising critical funds for people and nature to thrive to the team. She has provided leadership in transformational investment and partnership strategies, resource mobilization, and strategic communications at global, national, and local levels. Her career includes building awareness and directing multi-million-dollar investments for the vital work of civil society around the world for nine years at the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund at Conservation International. Most recently, she oversaw individual and institutional giving for a nonprofit investigative newsroom in San Diego where she led an increase of more than 50% in major giving.
Bobbie Jo earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism at San Diego State University and now serves on its School of Journalism and Media Studies’ advisory board. She is a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) based in San Diego, California.
