Salo Aburto is the website administrator at Pacific Environment. With over six years of experience in digital marketing and web operations, Salo specializes in crafting high-quality web content, while providing training and advice on effective strategies to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and industry best practices.

Prior to joining Pacific Environment, he worked at the Atlantic Council as their associate director of digital content strategy, where he focused on overseeing the organization’s website content, improving site functionality, and enhancing user experience through collaboration with developers and implementing SEO best practices. Before that, as a digital content specialist at Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), he led internal web projects, including a site-wide design refresh, and managed the production of content for key initiatives like COP and MethaneSAT. He has also held positions as a content producer and marketing assistant at the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Salo earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies, with a concentration in media and society, from American University in Washington, DC. He is based in Arlington, Virginia, and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
