Sun Shan
Sun Shan has over 15 years of experience in leadership positions in China’s environmental movement, where she organized major campaigns and civil society initiatives on species, protected areas, rivers, climate change, and western China’s natural heritage. She has a depth of knowledge and experience in nonprofit leadership, including fundraising, grant-making, project implementation, capacity and alliance building. Sun Shan is currently a market gardener, eco/agro-tourism leader and environmental consultant in Inverhuron, Ontario. Prior to her Canadian life, Sun Shan was the Executive Director of Shan Shui Conservation Center and Conservation International’s China Program, based in Beijing and still serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Shan Shui Conservation Center.
Sun Shan has a B.S. in Environmental Science and Ecology from Peking University, and a Master’s in Environmental Science and Public Policy from George Mason University.
