Thao Pham Phuong
As Marine Program Associate based in Ho Chi Minh City, Thao Pham Phuong supports our efforts to reduce plastic pollution in Vietnam. Before joining us, Thao worked for the eco-tourism social enterprise SungCo, focusing on waste reduction in the coastal village of Go Co as part of an effort to create a Quang Ngai Province UNESCO Biosphere that will include land and marine protections. She holds a Bachelor of International Relations from Vietnam National University. Concurrently with her university studies, in 2016-2019 she served as a student mentor in the Institute for Village Studies’ Global Village exchange program, facilitating coursework in community-based asset development for international exchange students at Cham Islands MPA and other notable conservation sites in Central Vietnam.
